The music subscription service just rolled out its half-price deal for students in 33 more countries. Spotify had already offered half-price, or about $4.99, monthly rates for students in the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany. A usual Spotify Premium subscription runs $9.99 a month.
As long as students are enrolled in school, they're eligible for the discounted rate. Spotify is using the authentication service SheerID to verify that subscribers are students.
