The assertion comes from police officers who were able to check the footage of Sait and get to the bottom of the situation. In a statement to ToI, they said, "The photographs the minister was allegedly watching were of Melania Trump."
"Her pictures taken more than 15 years ago gained new traction in the run-up to the US presidential election and after Trump's shock victory last week. Among the many messages sent to the minister’s WhatsApp account, Melania photographs, too, popped up on the screen." The decade old photos were from the time when Donald Trump’s third wife was a top model.
Sait has lodged a complaint with the cybercrime cell against the cameraman and reporters of the TV channel. He believes that the complainants were trying to defame him.
