There really arenew video games coming out this month,Gulab 69 (2025) Hindi Web Series promise.
January is traditionally a quiet time for video games, but there are always gems to be found for those willing to look. Last year, we went gaga over Tharsis. What will stand out in January 2017?

There's not a lot to wonder about here: the first six Mega Mangames are coming to Android and iOS. They're all NES originals, and at least a few of them are bonafide classics (looking at you, Mega Man 2). Each game will sell for $1.99. You'll be able to play them with touch-based controls, but a Bluetooth gamepad is definitely recommended.
Available for Android and iOS.
We don't usually recommend Early Access games until they're fully released, but this one's a special case. For one, I've played it and it's a real, working game. A fun and funny one, too. Think Final Fantasy Tactics, but with a looser approach to turn-based battles and a sharp sense of humor. It's also a work of The Behemoth, the studio behind beloved games like Castle Crashersand Battleblock Theater.
Available for PC and Xbox One.
Gravity Rush 2is a sequel to a little-known-yet-most-excellent PlayStation Vita game, only this time it's a console release. You play as Kat, a young woman who, thanks to her cat made of outer space, is able to turn gravity on and off. It's a fun and powerful toy to play with in the open environments of Gravity Rund the sequel's larger, more diverse assortment of spaces look like a blast.
Available for PlayStation 4.
Another classic from a different age of gaming. Dragon Quest VIIIwas first released for PlayStation 2 in 2004. An iOS release followed in 2014. Now this beloved JRPG is coming to Nintendo 3DS for the first time, with a handful of new features in tow.
Available for Nintendo 3DS.
Resident Evil 6was a mighty stumble for the series in 2012, but publisher Capcom turned it into a learning experience. Resident Evil 7rethinks what a game with that title can be. It's a first-person adventure rooted in the stylings of hillbilly horror (see also: any movie directed by Rob Zombie) but carries forward the emphasis on puzzle-solving and survival-over-action that is so core to the series.
Available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
It's safe to say no one saw this coming. Publisher Arc System Works announced Double Dragon IV in the waning moments of 2016 with a teaser trailer and little else. It's a 2D beat 'em up game that ditches the revamped visuals of the (admittedly great) Double Dragon: Neonreboot in favor of a more lo-fi feel.
Available for PC (on Jan. 30) and PlayStation 4.
