Metroid. Prime. 4.
Nintendo used the E3 2017 stage to deliver the news that fans have Historical Archivesbeen waiting 10 years to hear: Metroid-- a realone -- is coming back, and it's a follow-up to the beloved Primetrilogy.
SEE ALSO: Nintendo's theme park is coming along nicelyThat's the good news. The bad news? There's not much else we can tell you right now. It's a Switch game, of course. It's coming... eventually. Nintendo won't even commit to 2018. Prepare for a wait.
It willbe a first-person adventure, and producer Kensuke Tanabe will return to shepherd the game into being, just as he did for the original Primetrilogy.
That's... it. We'd love to share more, but Nintendo wants to keep the details close for now. Hopefully we'll get our first look next year... and hopefullyit's a reinvention on par with the sensational The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Find the nothingburger of a teaser below. Whatever. The hype is still very real.
