NBCUniversal's streaming app is bulking up its catalog with all 45 seasons of Saturday Night Liveon Oct. 1, Varietyreported Friday. The archive of episodes will span the show's first episodes in 1975 to its latest season that kicked off in 2019. At this moment, that consists of 889 episodes of SNL.
No matter what your favorite era, performer, or sketch is, it'll all be on Peacock, from the George Carlin monologue that opened up the series to the bizarre and infectious David Pumpkins sketch of 2016 to its shift to at-home episodes in the spring of 2020.
The announcement comes not long after SNL's return on Oct. 3 was revealed, which will undoubtedly feel a bit different than recent seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It's unclear whether episodes from the upcoming 46th season with be immediately available on Peacock.
Currently, only the last five seasons of SNLare available on Peacock. For SNLfans who don't have a physical collection of most the show's run, Peacock will be the only place to watch every sketch.
