The Totka (2024) Hindi Short Filmbeginning of the school year can be rough for anyone. For the communities of El Paso, Dayton, Ohio, and Gilroy, California that have been rocked by recent mass shootings, it's especially difficult this year.
Lady Gaga is trying to make this transition easier.
Her foundation, Born This Way Foundation, has partnered with the charity DonorsChoose.orgto fund classroom projects in these three areas.
The 'Born This Way' singer announced the donations in a Facebook post.
Around 18,000 students benefited from Gaga's goodwill. Funds donated to these classroom projects provided supplies like iPads, books, and engineering kits.

The cornerstone of Gaga's foundation is supporting youth with evidence-backed programs, focusing on betteringtheir mental health.
Appropriately so, Gaga highlighted the importance of highlighting one's mental health after mass shootings in her post.
She urged those who are struggling to tell someone they trust and reminded people to look out for their loved ones' mental health:
"If you see a loved one struggling, please be brave and reach out, remind them it’s ok to not be ok, and listen to them. We cannot turn away from ourselves. We cannot turn away from our loved ones. We need each other. Don’t turn away."
