Save $170: For Oct. 23 only,Hannah Harper Archives Best Buy has marked down the TCL 55-inch Q5 QLED TV $50 lower than its Prime Day pricing at just $279.99. This 38% discount brings this $449.99 TV to an incredibly low price point that'll be hard to match with any other QLED TV on the market.
Very rarely do we see hot ticket holiday sale items hit impressive new low prices during the holding period that is the time between Prime Day 2 and Black Friday, but Best Buy did promise month-long holiday deals.
We're glad to see them deliver with this $279.99 deal on a TCL 55-inch Q5 QLED TV, on sale as a deal of the day. That means that this deal will only last as long as Oct. 23 — come tomorrow, this exact deal will be gone. Considering this $170 markdown beats the $120 off we saw it hit on Prime Day (and the fact that $280 for a 55-inch QLED isn't by any means common), if you've been waiting to get your hands on a budget-friendly QLED TV, this is arguably the time to buy.
The Q5 Series of TCL TVs is a Best Buy exclusive, so you won't be finding these savings anywhere else — and trust us, it can be hard to find sub-$300 QLEDs. With a QLED TV, quantum dots help the picture come out brighter and in a wider range of colors, so it looks more accurate, and all-over better than what you'd get with a standard LED TV.
Though these Q5 TVS are TCL's most affordable line, that doesn't mean you're skimping on quality. Like it's Q6 counterpart, it comes with Dolby Vision and Motion Rate 240 motion smoothing technology, which basically means that you'll have a clearer and better picture shot for shot with a smooth experience that gamers will especially appreciate. The 55-inch Q6, by the way, is on sale at the time of writing for $449.99.
With the Q5, you'll also get three HDMI ports and built-in Google Assistant.
