Earlier this month,Italy the University of East Anglia's student union wanted to motivate students to vote in the school's annual elections. So they tapped into humankind's greatest motivator: good and nice dogs.
Last October, the campus was devastated when Cloud Dog, a beloved pup often taken for walks around the grounds, passed away from arthritis complications.
Students quickly became eager to honor the dog, who had brought a particular kind of fluffy joy to stressed-out academics.
So the student union proposed a deal: if 2,000 people voted in the elections, a 10-foot statue of Cloud Dog would be erected on campus.

Sure enough, 3,669 people turned out. Such is the power of Cloud Dog. And voters weren't about to let the union go back on its word.

Here is the statue. Do you guys think Cloud Dog would like it? Personally, we think Cloud Dog would like anything.
