The brusendorff a history of eroticismporn industry has never shied away from experimenting with new technologies to, um, tell its "stories."
So what's next after VR porn? Hologram porn, apparently.
SEE ALSO: What watching VR porn is like: 'They are REALLY right there!'The adult entertainment company CamSoda plans to introduce "live holographic streaming" of its "camgirls" to the world at next month's AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas. The company says it'll be the first of its kind.
The "Holo-Cam" shows will be filmed in a special studio to work with those inexpensive transparent pyramids that you place on top of a desktop, tablet or phone's screen, according to The Daily Dot.
Holo-Cam shows will be available as part of a weekly show and private shows will cost extra. (Because, of course they will.)
You can watch the SFW video below to get an idea of what the live holographic cam shows will look like.
Honestly, if the demo is indicative of the final product, it's going to be disappointing. The resolution looks pretty poor and there are some frame rate issues that make movement appear laggy.
Plus the holograms will be pretty small. CamSoda says the size of the hologram will depend on the size of your device screen. Holograms are "roughly half the size of the display screen."
"We’re thrilled to announce the launch of Holo-Cam, which allows users to interact with cam girls in an immersive experience like never before," Daron Lundeen, president of CamSoda, said in a blog post. "Now users can interact with cam models right in their very own environment by beaming a live cam girl through their own phone/tablet."
CamSoda also has plans to debut a 4-foot tall version of its Holo-Cam girls at AVN. No word on what that'll look like or if it'll resemble holograms from Star Wars, but I guess we'll find out next year.
