Sansa Stark has seen her fair share of chaos and eroticism and the body politicbrutality as she maneuvered her way through the sordid world of Westeros since she was a young adult.
But for Sophie Turner, who has been playing the role of Stark since she was 12 years old, growing up on HBO's sets of Game of Thrones taught her more than just acting skills.

“I’d be doing a read-through and we’d be talking about very graphic stuff,” Turner said. “The first time I ever found out about oral sex was from reading the script. I was like … ‘Wow! People do that? That’s fascinating!'”
Whether it's incest, murder, sex, rape, or gory beheadings, the famous show has never held back on its explicit content.
Turner's character became a focal point of brutal sexual violence in Season 5 as her then-husband Ramsey Bolton repeatedly raped her in “Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken." The scene generated a lot of controversy, even by Game of Thronesstandards, and some fans even threatened to quit the show.
Recently, Turner explained that she hoped the scene would raise discussion about rape in the real world.
