According to the tweet, which also revealed the logo for the show, The Book of Boba Fettwill star Temuera Morrison, who played Fett in The Mandalorianas a continuation of his role as Fett's clone father Jango in the Star Wars prequel series, and Ming-Na Wen as her Mandaloriancharacter Fennec Shand.
Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, who created and executive produced The Mandalorian, will executive produce The Book of Boba Fett alongside legendary director Robert Rodriguez, whose work on The MandalorianSeason 2 Chapter 15 was rightfully praised for re-introducing Fett's beskar-wearing, Stormtrooper-stomping badassery to the live action Star Wars universe.
The post credit scene from the Season 2 finale of The Mandalorian revealed that something called The Book of Boba Fettwas coming in December 2021, but some fans (including Mashable) speculated that The Bookwas simply a subtitle for the next season of The Mandalorian. Not so!
December 2021 will bring both The Mandalorian Season 3 and The Book of Boba Fett, giving us double the Mandos, double the guns, as a statement to the unyielding demand for more Star Wars Disney+ fun.
