The right image settings can change everything about a photo. Whatever filter you end up with will give your photo a singular aesthetic — one that, hopefully, you're going for.

Photo editing is a painstaking process that takes extreme skill to perfect, and many editors rightfully take pride in that process and all its struggles.

Downloadable presets are available in a number of places, and they can help save an editor time by incorporating the exact image settings needed to achieve the desired aesthetic. Whether you're looking for something old-timey and nostalgic, something cold, or something that just happens to work really well with sunset photos, chances are, there's a helpful preset out there for you.

Some sites offer free downloads; others you have to pay for. We did some checking around and found a bunch of different places online where you can download image presets for your Adobe Lightroom software. Give them a look below.

Hootsuite offers a free pack of 10 presets you can use, from "sepia" to "neon," among many others. You can also try out the service, which can help you schedule and publish your photos to social media, for free.
