Apple's iPhone lineup might see a pretty big shake-up next year.
According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (via 9to5Mac),Jerome Deeds Archives the company plans to launch two high-end iPhones, and two low-end iPhones in 2022. However, both categories would come in two sizes, one with a 6.1-inch and the other with a 6.7-inch display.
In terms of naming, the phones could be called iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
This is in contrast with the current lineup, which consists of iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Yes, the "mini" iPhone seems to be going away, which is something Kuo has been saying for a while.
This is a pretty big deal for people who like big phones, but don't want to spend a ton on a phone, as they'll finally get a cheaper 6.7-inch iPhone, which Kuo expects to cost under $900.
Kuo also claims that some of the 2022 iPhones will get under-display fingerprint sensors (which will use Apple's own technology), and a major camera upgrade to 48-megapixels (but only for the Pro models).

He says it'll have roughly the same design as the existing iPhone SE, but will have a new processor and 5G support. Kuo says Apple will market it as the cheapest 5G phone ever; this would mean cheaper than the iPhone 12 mini, which has a price tag of $699.
Of course, before any of this happens, Apple still has to launch the iPhone 13, which should happen this fall. The changes won't be as drastic, with iPhone mini still a part of the lineup. Rumored improvements include better cameras, faster chips, and possibly a smaller notch.
